This event was October 13, 2007 at 7pm & October 14, 2007 at 3pm. at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty. An original performance, “I’ll Fly Away to Freedom” was based on a Gullah/Geechee Folktale about the Africans who could fly. Starring: Queen Quet (Chieftess and Head of State) of the Gullah/Geechee Nation.

Also featured:
Temujin Ekunfeo, as the Ibo King, Nana Malaya Rucker, as the Ibo Village Queen, The Legacy Arts Project Performers & Drummers, Poet Turhan Shabazz, Master Drummer Shabaka Perkin, Vocalists: Sandra Dowe & Brian Wright & The Legacy Arts Community Gospel Singers. A big shout to Linda "Imani" Barrett, Queen Quet, Bill Nunn, Nana Malaya Rucker, Bonita Lee Penn from The Soul Pitt, Brian Wright and my girl Alice and everyone that came out to make this a BIG SUCCESS!!!

J-KRUZ BIRTHDAY PARTY AT CLUB DEJAVU - 2007

J-Kruz of WAMO 106.7FM and 1/2 of "The Bad Boyz", celebrated his birthday at Club DeJaVu in the Strip, Friday, October 19, 2007 and BAP was there to capture most of it. Lady Homi, DJ Worm of No Doubt Records, The Ultra Soft and Sexy Sharmyn where just some of the people in the club that night. Everyone came out to celebrate with J-Kruz as DJ Kode Wred was on the 1's and 2's.
