GRANDMASTER FLASH
& THE FURIOUS FIVE

CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY EVERYDAY

Hip Hop innovators Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five are finally inducted into the Rock
and Roll Hame of Fame on its third nomination since 2005.
They are making history thrice by being the first hip hop group; Grandmaster Flash being the first DJ; and the Furious Five being the first MCs to hold court in the prestigious hall. They join fellow inductees R.E.M., Van Halen, Patti Smith, and the Ronettes. The cereomony will be held TONIGHT, March 12 at New York's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

Flash says: This is bigger than me. This induction is total accept from one of the most prestigious music associations in the world. This induction says that for teh decades of work that was put in which later co-created an entire culture, they honor us. Its a wonderful feeling to be remembered as one of the architects that pioneered an idea that the whole world fell madly in love with. It is called Hip Hop.
