Brother Marlon Returns to WAMO to Now Bless the Mic!

Martin, a former WAMO morning show host returns with a new name and a new purpose every Sunday morning from 8am-12pm. "Back then I was known as Sean Richards, host of the Breakfast Jam along with Sly Jock and Taylor Diaz. Now I return as myself using my real name Brother Marlon, minister of the gospel, and focused on making a positive difference in the lives of people by using all of the gifts that God has given to me. I want to be effective in being a good leader, inspiring people to go higher in God, and by teaching the word of God."

"I have been given an awesome opportunity to return now to the place where I got my first professional start in radio. I grew up listening to WAMO, and back then to have an opportunity to work for the station was a dream come true. All of a sudden I felt compelled to leave in order to pursue the call of God. It was difficult but needed for what God had planned for my life." Martin walked away in January 1998 to follow another path. Now in January 2006 eight years later (eight being the number of new beginnings) Martin returns to host the number one rated Gospel Show in Pittsburgh.

"I'm excited to get back on the air. I recently left full time radio to start my graphic design business, but I still love radio! I don't think I will ever go back to full time radio again. That season has passed for me. I still have a lot to contribute, but I have other things to do as well." Martin along with working in ministry at his church (Higher Call World Outreach Church in Homestead, PA) will be working in the WAMO sales department as an Account Executive responsible for adding Christian business to sister station WPGR 1510AM, MAJIC AM860, and WAMO's Sunday Gospel show. "I also have another radio show I'm starting as well. Beginning this week you can check me out on the Soul Pitt with Radio for Your Soul. A half hour program, what we like to call Radio on Command. Listen when you want, for however long you want, as many times as you want. The vision God gave me is to reach the masses in ministry through media (radio, television, internet and print). I have 3 of the 4 areas working right now; I just need to get something in television." By the way that was him in the Safe Auto commercials in case you're wondering.

Martin who was recently engaged will be tying the knot in the fall of 2006 to Ellise Small of Antigua, West Indies. He is going to have a busy year! "I look forward to sharing the message of Christ and His love to the listeners. It feels good to be back, and not have to compromise my faith. Spread the word and let everyone know, I'm back!
