the Pittsburgh Xplosion defeated the visiting Kentucky Colonels 129-117
in ABA action Tuesday night at Mellon Arena. Center Armon Gilliam added
26 points and 9 rebounds for the Xplosion and ABA rookie James Sutton
Jr. of McKeesport, Pa., contributed 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocked
shots. Pittsburgh earned its ninth victory in the last 11 games to improve

Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Sheraton hotel in Station Square, Bill Neal, CEO of Champion Enterprises, held a Kickoff and Reception for the Pittsburgh Xplosion ABA Basketball Team. Everyone who was anyone was there. Former NFL football players Dwayne Woodruff and Louis Lipps, Radio Host Smokin Jim Frazier were in the house along with many former NBA players.
