I was touched by the moments captured by Herni Cartier-Bresson and Charles "Teenie" Harris, moved by the landscapes of Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe, and intrigued by the fashion images of Richard Avedon and Herb Ritts. I found myself drawn more to black and white photos because it reminded me of sketching and because of its classic look. I capture life as I see it, as we see it in its everyday essence. Art is my love, and love is my art. The appreciation for the medium has grown over the years. I never imagined being at the point I am today, but realize there's much more work to do. I'm thankful for the God-given talents, the ability to use them, the support of my family and friends, and The New Pittsburgh Courier for giving me an opportunity to show my work to a larger audience. This is my life. I'm blessed to wake up every morning, grab my camera, create images, and do nothing more.
