WAMO
on-air announcer Ki Ki Brown has left the WAMO building and is moving
on to bigger and better things; and she wanted to give her listeners
the real deal to put rumors to rest.
“It
was time to take a new course in life and in my career. Life is
about special courses that we have to take to teach us how to survive,”
said Brown. “Both Sheridan and I know that it was
time for me to take a new course. The doors were always
open for me to ask any question and I received a lot of support
when I had ideas and wanted to venture off into different areas
of my career.
“This
new course in my life and career involves learning more about me
and my capabilities, learning how to deal with difficult people
and difficult situations; those are surprises quizzes,”
Brown said. “Hopefully, I will graduate and become the next
music director and/or program director for a major market station.
But I have more to learn.”
Brown’s
next move involves continuing her education. “Well, first
I want to get my BA in business management at the University of
Phoenix. I am going to continue to pay my bills and take care of
my son like nothing has changed,” she says.
