Mrs. Mary Ellen Love Anderson Harvey aka "Queen Mother", founder and CEO of The Mini-Globe Showcase has passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, November 8, 2008. Mrs. Mary was an extraordinary part of my life and she is responsible for a lot of the things I am doing today. She was more than a security guard at Herron Hill Middle School.

She treated me as if I was one of her own children and at that time in my life I needed it because my own mother had passed away. My condolences go out to all members of her family who I consider to be a part of my family. She was definitely a blessing to many all over the world. Thanks for coming into my life and making me a better person.

‘MISS MARY LIVED LIFE OF SERVICE AND SUPPORT'

She was a fixture in the Hill District and could be found involved with the neighborhood’s youngsters. Whether attending high school basketball or football games, holding an annual luncheon for Schenley’s football team or organizing a talent showcase for the less athletically inclined, Mary Harvey or “Miss Mary” as she was known to generations of students, always extended a helping hand or word of encouragement. Mary Ellen Love Harvey, 84, transitioned Nov. 8 after a bout with cancer at Forbes Hospice.
