Nathan James CD/DVD Release Party was a huge hit at the Shadow Lounge, Friday, September 30, 2005. Their were Hors D'oeuvre's, Cash Bar, and of course live entertainment from the very best artist in Pittsburgh. Nathan James, Erza Smith, The Simon Project and many others performed at this event.

The CD is a live recording of Nathan James and his nationally recognized Spoken Word performed at the Shadow Lounge in August, 2005 and the DVD is a live taping of Nathan James's One Man Show, "Growing Pains" the critically acclaimed performance that left audience members in awe of Nathan. "Growing Pains" was an evening length one man show, September 2, 3, and 4th, 2005 @ the Kelly Strayhorne Theatre that told stories of triumph and tribulation amongst fictional male characters by examining the influence of BET, MTV, along with other mass media outlets and their influences over the way we view politics, each other, and most importantly ourselves. This show was so uplifting, educational, spiritual and fantastic that I had to see it twice. Nathan James is an artist that speaks from the soul and takes you on a journey that makes you proud of your black heritage. Support this brotha and his future endeavors because you will definitely feel better about yourself after the experience.
