The African American Cultural Center Presents...
AN EVENING WITH SPIKE LEE

Spike Lee, one of the world's most recognized filmmakers and one of Hollywood's most influential and innovative voices in film, comes to Pittsburgh, TONIGHT, February 16, 2006 @ 8:00pm @ the Byham Theater, 101 Sixth Street, Cultural District for a very special evening. Mr. Lee will talk about his work as a form of art and social commentary, and the audience will have the chance to ask questions during a talk-back following his presentation. Spike's seminal work dates back to his entry into the world of American cinema and continues today: She's Gotta Have It, School Daze, Do The Right Thing, Mo Better Blues, Malcolm X, Bamboozled and others. He has recently announced plans to make a documentary examining how race and politics collided in the aftermath of 2005's Hurricane Katrina. Spike founded his own film company and has authored several books on his films including a recent autobiography, "That's My Story, and I'm Sticking To It."

This evening of conversation will feature a lecture by Mr. Lee, followed by a question and answer with the audience.
